They haven't served pizza in ages. Cozy, not fancy, they now specialize in breakfast and lunch. Family-owned and run restaurant.
**Breakfast special is 3.75 plus tax - come out to 4 bucks. 2 eggs your way (no extra charge for poached). Homefries, tomatoes, breakfast meat of your choice, or order beans instead, plus toast and a coffee or tea. A great deal! Mushroom omelette is a winner. Also really great burgers with real tomato and lettuce and fried onion - yummy! - why go to McDonalds? Daily specials. Fish & Chip special with pea soup on Fridays.
Wraparound patio is open in spring, summer, fall. Decent diner food at very affordable prices. Almost everything is homemade. The only bad thing on the menu is the subs, which aren't so much bad a boring. So avoid those and have anything else.
Alfa diner is the place you really can call home, with the cooks door open while cooking to greet clientele food like home and better because you don't have to cook it or clean it afterwards , a true family resto.
We went to Alfa's for breakfast - fantastic. The owner seems to pride himself on not having any grease on the plate. It was a very good breakfast with a low cost ($5.50 for 2 eggs, meat of your choice, home fries, toast, coffee; he also gave me some homemade jam his wife made for my toast). Very pleasant family run restaurant. There was plenty of parking in the morning; I will definitely go again.
We went to Alfa diner a few times, food is great, staff is amazing.
